About
Somerset
The County of Somerset is the home of some of UK’s
best loved, most visited, tourist attractions and
heritage sites. Each year it receives many thousands
of visitors from around the world and UK. Places like
Bath, Bristol, Glastonbury, Wells and Cheddar are
world renowned places to visit. They have quite rightly
achieved their reputation because they just overflow
with history and fine buildings, and are real gems
of UK’s heritage. Your holiday itinerary will
include visits to these places with ample time for
leisurely sightseeing, souvenir hunting, and sampling
the exquisite food and drink of the region. In addition
there is another side of Somerset we want you to discover
that you could easily miss. |

The Simply Somerset Difference
Somerset has some of the most impressive scenery in
England. Much of it is often missed, because it is off
the regular tourist route. With our help, it is just
ready and waiting for you to discover.
Our bus will take you off the beaten track, through
our narrow winding country lanes, and through our picturesque
country villages. Typically, we will stop off for lunch
at a local pub, visit a cider farm (the likes of which
you are unlikely to experience again) or stop for an
afternoon English cream tea in one of our many tea gardens.
We always try to focus on the interesting and unusual
to add to your holiday experience.
From your seat in the bus you will be able to view above
the hedgerows, Somerset’s unique landscape (If
you were to travel by car you would miss much of this)
We take you to the heart of our beautiful countryside
to experience the life and spirit of traditional Somerset
you would not normally see as a tourist.
You will view typical village life first hand, a gentler
side of life perhaps than you are used to, but which
can have a vibrancy all of its own. You will be able
to share stories with some of our likeable and friendly
local characters, who will value your friendship.
We also have many other great local events taking place
throughout the year, and if one of these coincides with
the dates of your visit we may be able to give you the
option of including one or more of these in the itinerary
we offer you. In addition, we can also build in an activity
day (or days) into your schedule depending on the length
of your holiday, your interests and how adventurous
you feel e.g. golf, walking, fishing, gliding, hot air
ballooning, etc.
Overall, we want you to discover Somerset, enjoy our
hospitality, have fun, and return home with cherished
memories that will last a lifetime. |
